Hello All

I have had my 1969 Charger (b5 blue w/ white top blue interior) in London Kentucky for resto (Sent 2007) I just got my car last week as Keith and Kathy Pope are on the outs. Needless to say many of my original parts have been stolen and sold from this shop...also sold at numerous east coast shows. I would like to buy my parts back!!!!!!! I know it is a stretch but I am reaching out here.

ANY HELP??? I have been taken hard on this deal. If you have bought any of these parts or can help me replace please contact me....troy.johnson@wvc-ut.gov

Sold

my original numbers matching 383 (2468130.11 E383 6242 built 6/11/1969)

Blue interior - am/8 track and bezel, lower dash pad with a/c, woodgrain steering and blue horn, kick panels, front bucket seats, arm rests and bases, all four MINT upper door pads, seat belts, buddy seat...and all my blue trim, visors, and rear view mirror, heater controls...

rechromed bumpers, mint chrome magnum 500 wheels and BF tires...14 inch, turn signals, parking lamps, jack, plastic rear cover, radiator, all ac components, and on and on....you get the jist.

I'm looking for help. You all know how long it takes to find this stuff....I'm not only out money...now all of my hard to get parts.

Troy

I had problems with my resto here in Utah...Keith was great to get the car and start the work...HOWEVER...if anyone wants to see the pics you will know what I mean. What was said would be done was not, was was paid for was not done, most of the parts I sent were not used, and most of the stuff I had is gone.

3 year resto....waiting on legendary, blah blah....not sure what direction Kreative Customs is going...but what is left there is a sad sight indeed. I am out alot of money and alot of parts!

I am letting Keith and Kathy settle their differences, then I'll settle mine.

I know.....but now I'm redoing my resto, searching all over hell and back for replacement parts, and on it goes. My business in KY has not been concluded. Just need for them to sort out (in court) the "he said - she said" before I steam ahead!

http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,47443.0.html

and I thought to myself I hope he got those out of there before sh!t hit the fan.

Good luck to both of you.

If you see any happy customers from the past in a post here or other forums, it's because they probably have yours, Trav's or many others parts.   flame   When doing something like this, it's easier to find the happy customers and get them to talk to you.   icon_smile_wink   Just don't let the happy customer know they may be a victim.   icon_smile_cool   I feel bad for you guys and hope you nail these guys.

I may have your visors, bought a blue set on ebay recently-

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200421431376&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_843wt_1095

If your research eventually discovers that this seller was involved in any way knowingly, I'll be happy to participate in the prosecution.
Even if these aren't your originals, they're in fine shape and may be a little darker than my interior anyway. Wifey say so...

Eric

Hm. Same seller...

I remember a blue horn button going by, blue seatbelts and buddy seat too, I think...I bought a blue dash part for below the steering column also, that was the best part of a year ago. I still have that too, which I bought on a whim not necessity.

This is probably common knowledge, but just in case you don't know....

You can search Craiglist nation wide with a Google search:  Craigslist 1969 charger (or some combination of that - just make sure you include Craigslist, i.e. Craigslist mopar dash pad, Craigslist 383, etc, etc).

It doesn't pic up everything, but it may be an efficient way for you to keep tabs on your parts or replacement parts if they pop up on craigslist anywhere.

If this isn't common knowledge:  Damn, I should have PM'd you.

Good luck!!!!!

There is a pretty big swap meet set for the First weekend of March in Indianapolis. My Dad and a few friends of his will be selling there. I will tell him to pass the word. Most of those guys are like hawks when the parts are unloaded from the trailers.

That would be awesome. mostly chargers were in his shop, so if someone gets out with grills, painted hoods, fenders, doors, tons of nice black interior, clusters, all 69-70 vintage, i would appreciate it if you guys could be on the lookout up there. i'm losing about half my life savings in these 2 cars, and i am not going to lay down and just take it. but all of us victims will need as much help as possible!   Cry   icon_smile_angry
