Is this The good sure grip third member??

Wondering if this is the cone or clutch style third member and if it's the kind that can be rebuilt.  It is the 741 case.

that is the rebuildable Clutch type sure grip unit , it can be installed in any carrier

Thanks Chryco, a guy had it laying in a pile of junk in his garage, put new bearings in it. When you turn the diver side by hand it takes a couple of turns before the other side grabs, when you turn the passenger side by hand, the driver side does not catch and does not turn.

Have not tried it out in the car yet.

clutches are probably worn down pretty good...     it was probably in a junk pile for a reason, no?   Good score BTW

just make sure the thrust pins are still there so that you can adjust the axels.
