Troy

Well, I wasn't old enough to drive until 1987 and there wasn't anything I'd have bought new. The big thing from Chrysler was the 2.2 Turbo and Buick had the Grand National. Mustang and Camaro were just getting fuel injection. I wasn't even born when most of the cars I like were produced (my first two were a 1970 Challenger and a 11968 Charger). There are several "new" (as in new today) cars that I'd like to own - and not many are made by Chrysler so that's easy. Unfortunately, I'm cheap and I don't like taking that huge depreciation hit so I don't buy new cars (ok, I bought ONE but there was a good reason and I certainly didn't lose money on it).

And Bronzey, you broke your own rules for the thread. :eyes: What's with buying a "loaded" 392 Challenger. Either you want a fast car or you want a car that used to be fast before it went on a McDonald's diet. In 1968 the Shelby Mustang became a luxury car and the performance fell dramatically. I guess the only people who could afford it weren't really into competing.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Either my old 396 Pace car, my old 69 RS Z/28, or the vette I sold to buy the Charger.  I'd rather have another Mopar next to the Charger though.  The Charger front out, the Coronet rear out. :icon_smile_big:

Cool! I'll tell you, I was amazed at how well that car drove. I always heard bad things about the early C-3 Vettes, but mine drove very well and was real comfortable (though REALLY hot in summer). I could have drove it cross-country no problem...

Oh yeah it drove great.  The only thing was the exhaust from the side pipes always drifted in the car, but my Charger does the same thing.  :eek2:

As of right now, I'd order a '68.5 R-Code Mustang fastback. Presidential Blue, White C-stripe, and a red interior. gotta be a 4-speed too.  I've also always like the 66-67 Olds 442 W-30 trak pack cars. Maybe a black convertible  :D  Or even try to snatch up one of the original Cobra Daytona Coupes when they were brought back from dominating the world in '65 and offered for sale.

For me it would have to be the 87 Buick Grand National Regal or Buick Regal T-Type in either traditional Black or Bright White.....
