68 R/T Restoration

I picked up my first Charger in December and became a member here last month.  My original post with some info and a few pics of the car when I got it is linked below.  We've made some progress on the car and I have some pics.  Just wanted to know - do you guys posting ongoing updates of your restorations do it w/ one long thread or break it up into a bunch of posts w/ some links here and there?

Hoping to get some pics of what's been done so far up tomorrow.

I consolidated my '69 resto/build into one long thread.

OK - here are the pics.  Once we got the car on the lift we discovered that both rear wheel wells had been pretty badly mangled by whoever tired to restore it before.  Also the bottom of left quarter hung a good half inch lower than the right and appeared to not be from a charger at all.  The right quarter had a chunk cut out of it near the door, and the trunk floor had issues as well, not to mention the bottom of the rear valance was really bad.

So while the hood, doors, and fenders are all OK and now being sand blasted, we decided to replace most of the metal on the rear - both quarters, inner outer wheel wells, rear valance, etc.

I actually have a short .mov file showing showing the epoxy being applied, but I guess I can't post that.  Here are more photos of the new metal.

I wish I could tell you I was doing all this work myself, but #1 - I wanted the car do be done in my lifetime, and #2 - I wanted the work done by guys that have already done several '68 Chargers.

The guys doing it are in southern CA (I'm in the Bay Area).  I actually found them before I started looking for the car - they've done I think a half dozen 68s or so.  After purchasing the car, I went down for a couple days and we went over everything and came up w/ a plan of attack. 

They're OK w/ me coming down to do some of the work (cut some hours off the labor) and if they weren't about a 5 hour drive I'd be there every Saturday.  As it stands, I'm planning to take some vacation time here and there to get down there to work on it.

A few updates.  I hope to have more in the next few days.  We needed to replace one of the rockers, the floor pan was put in, and then a before and after of the left quarter.

On a side note, it turns out the broadcast sheet we recovered in the headliner was not from my car.... bummer.  Would have known earlier, but the sheet is only 80% there, and the portion w/ the VIN is gone.

74 Charger I am not very far along,it's really very slow for me.
