March 1970 Used Car Daytona Ad from San Mateo, CA...

Anyone here own a Daytona from the San Francisco, California area?... not much detail to go on though...

Quite a few t birds reposessed.  Car was bigger than their wallets. 68 Charger R/T for $2250 sweeeettttt!!!

Way back in the day (70's), loads of Superbirds were on used car lots in my area.  I remember one that was selling for $1500.  The dealer told me he would even replace the 440 with a 383 that used less gas (gas crunch at that time), just to sell it.  It seemed dealers were really desperate to sell them and will to do what it took to move them out.  Those were the good old days.

One more point, I remember in the mid 70's we used to hang out at the burger joints with our Hot cars, whenever a winged car would pull in, guys would laugh and say the wing was only good as a "clothes line".  They were known as stones, because of the excess weight and size and never considered quick. Guess the laugh is on them now.  I always kind of liked them, but they were way too long and a hassle to park on the street, which at that time was common.
