do you remember a time when gas was cheap?







                                 I remember gas at 32 cents a gallon......I have read if you figured inflation.....it would be about 3.50$ gallon.....right where it is in my area.

                           that's right, even though it sounds like it was cheap way back when.........it was still the equivalent of "too much" lol

                         About the same now......but I swear it hurts far more now to fill my rig up. Also read that the average option $$$$$ of a Hemi then was around a thousand.......with inflation.....about the same as a new Hemi.

                Exactly right, I never thought twice about filling up back then. Funny how seem to notice it more now.

                          Doesn't really make any sense to call them "The Good Old Days" does it?

                                    Part of my problem is my DD is a Cummins Dodge.....diesel runs about 3.98, and the tank holds 35 gallons. So....a fill up can be.....well, a bit expensive.

what if they've lost their memory?


                           Bit of a nightmare........all my cars cost around the $100. mark to fill up.  DD and weekenders.

                                 Not really complaining......runs a consistent 23.5 MPG, and a bit big, but fun to drive. Very, very slow off the line.....but from 35 to 65 has surprised more then a few "hot" cars. When it comes into boost, got a very nice midrange.
