dyslexic teddybear

takes very little to cause that, how about you?

Fred

No, the pig didn't make a run for it.  too easy  :icon_smile_big:

Are you not as fit as me?

dyslexic teddybear

Don't you hate chasing pigs?

Not to bad, but not as fit as a want to be. Packed on a few pounds, enough so now I'll do something about.

Fred

Is a pig worth chasing?

I don't stack it on. I'm always on the move so it doesn't get a chance to catch up to me lol. Seriously, I exercise every day.....chin ups, push ups. sit ups and weights. Even take care of a mates property as well as my own.

isn't pork expensive?

I'm self employed......work varies so much, and being a bit backwards.....the harder I work, the less I tend to eat. When I'm just puttering around, I make a pig of myself. With or without a blanket.

Fred

Like porking do you mean?

I'm retired.    But it is a fact that the less you do, the more you think about eating.  But because I'm so active, I just don't put it on. Plus I have great willpower.

dyslexic teddybear

doesn't everybody like porking?

I sometimes have great willpower......other times.....not so much. Agree on keeping busy, definitely eat less and burn off more. And I don't even feel very hungry. But.....when I'm not doing much.....I want to eat and eat......and then eat more.

Then have a snack.

crackling is only good when done right , right ?

have had some atrocious jaw breaking crackling over the years  :yesnod:

Is there a right and wrong way to do crackling?

I've only tried it a few times, ending up sick to my stomach each time.  :eek2:

Fred

There must be otherwise it would always be perfect, right?

Love good crackling but I find the older I get, the less my stomach can deal with it. Always need a shot of gin after pork roast to settle the grease.

do you think the "modern "generation are loosing the skills their parents had ?

e.g. cooking, housekeeping , personal grooming  ;D   not just talking about woman either. I might not sew but I learned to cook early on ( soon found the only way to get it like I like it was to do it myself :yesnod:  my steak is the first piece on the BBQ and last off I like it well done )

Is it possible the parents are forgetting to teach the "modern" generation these basic skills?

JB400

Did the parents even learn the basic skills?

burnout.dawg

Is there something lost (or forgotten) with each generation?

You'd do well with Mrs. Fred, she likes them that way too.

Could it be the generation past and gone?
