Happy Father's Day folks!

Lots of familial obligations this month so when I got a chance to drive my car for a lunch meeting I snapped at it.

You never know anymore how you will be received and this lunch date was no different...I looked out the window of the restaurant and a bunch of older women were looking it over and taking pictures. Huh?  Well...ok, no harm and no foul. Lunch was great and after dropping my buddy off and heading home, on the way I stopped at this booze "warehouse" type of place for some supplies (for an upcoming cross-country trip [for items likely unavailable where I'm headed]). Coming back out of this monster booze-castle was also an experience...several older fellows (my age of course, probably the same as the women earlier) were milling around it. Somebody had even stuck a flyer into it for a local car show...

I guess these cars are becoming like Model As anymore, eh.

Only older folks know what they are now?

Nah...
I get smiles and thumbs up from people of all ages but the majority are from people around my age of 55 and up.

Time into the past that adds up from when these were new to compare to a model T.  Summers I try to drive mine daily as much as possible. Kids at the Walmart grocery pickup seem to be 50/50 nowing what it is.  People that just walk up and want to talk are older though.

You do have a beautiful Charger that is worth looking at. I dislike it when people are disrespectful and touch  without asking.

Back N Black

When ever I go for a drive there is always an interaction with people, could be a thumbs up or a chat when leaving the gas station. What is a little creepy is driving on the highway and being followed for miles and pulling up next to me taking pics/filming.
My wife said that's the price for being a rock star. The car is the rock star, I'm the body guard. :icon_smile_big:

People taking pictures and stopping me for questions is the norm and has been since I bought this car in 1997.

I couldn't care less if people take pics of it, pose in front of it or ask me questions about it.  Its not just the older folks either, last time I got it inspected, had a young guy around 19 or 20 ask me if he could take a bunch of pics of it for his buddies. Same thing with the kid at the place I got it aligned.  Its funny how now my kids notice other people reacting to it, something they never noticed before.
