Asked this at the Body section but just remembered there is an specific section for these cars!

I have been searching for details on how this filler is installed but can't find anything. Just found a YouTube video made by some guys restoring one, where quarter panels and roof were replace with AMD panels, and some kind of L shaped profile supports being riveted or welded to the inner of the C pilars, and the filler being riveted to them.

It was like that?

And how the panel seam between filler and C Pilar's was filled? Bondo? Lead?

This is just for curiosity... I don't have any project for that (even less the money to even think on dream it LOL... AND I'm not really fan of winged cars anyway LOL)

On my 500 you can see underneath where the rear window plug was screwed into place. A load of plastic filler smooths out the transition with it being quite thick across the top to make a smooth transition. Whether there is also any lead under there or not I do not know.
