this thread will fill in some holes. (it is the one i mentioned in the pm, homerr.)

the thread contains a dated version of the database i started working on years ago, as well as numerous posts with individual car info. once i have a finished template, i will get the most recent info uploaded.

I read that info from the WW copy of the ship list published in the newsletter? That version of the list shows no 408029 VIN and the rest of the info you show on that car shows up on that list corresponding to 409029.
I noticed a few of the destinations and dates missing, I take it your copy of the list was rather illegible? The copy I have in the newsletter is not too bad so rather than post here multiple times I can send you a PM with what my copy states in the "blanks".

Ok, I changed 408029 to 409029 and updated it to XX29L9B.

FWIW I understand that probably all the cars on the registry that only have the VON and not the whole VIN yet will end up being XX29L9B cars.  I just update as I run across data showing that, yes indeed, they are XX29L9B.

line 158 381547 is a 440 auto car, F5 on white

line 470 414641 is an auto car, F8 on black

99% sure 163 381551 is a 440 auto, Q5 on black.  Danny can chide me but I don't have my friends' VINs memorized...

Updated.  We know who to come after if you're wrong.   ;)

Another Q5 but with tan interior.   http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,42030.50.html

Thanks- yes, that is the one I was referring to. So there is this one, the one with the white interior, the one in the barn in Illinois (? 4-speed car, uncertain which color interior), and mine (black interior with white stripe/wing),  confirmed. Would love to know of confirmation of others.

Seems I'm just the latest to take on this task!

You are correct.

Geno, I made a mistake.

I worked on the registry a bit this weekend and added more pics and - more importantly - I fixed the permissions so you can view them.

Moparpoolman

Where do you go to view pictures?  Off of the spread sheet or a different web page?  Thanks

Homerr

The VINs that are blue and underlined are a hotlink to the album, just click on it and then the link.  Click on the pics in the album for the larger version.

In blue just means a hyperlink to photos.

XX29L9Bxxxxxx = I've at least run across some sort of info that validates the car and input it.

xxxxxx = I don't have info/haven't yet input info/haven't found any info.

You guys more in the know will see some errors slowly get fixed.  I started with that shipping list and it had a couple of oddities that I learned about and corrected over the weekend.  I'm sure there are more corrections to be made.  I'm sifting through all the info and trying to update it in chronological order so that I don't replace a newer correction with an older error.

That's the red one that went to Canada?  I was looking for vin yesterday.  Yeah, definitely would love pics, especially older ones, paperwork, fendertag, vin tag, and new restored.  I found the ones where it was being put on the trailer.  Send them to 1969chargerdaytonaregistry@gmail.com

Does anyone have a clearer pic of the 926xxx number than this one here?  Trying to clarify if it is 926841 or 926941.  Fiddling with photoshop I can see it going either way.  Or is the owner here?   :icon_smile_cool:

Wow, I might actually be able to help!  I know there were attempts for this in the past, but they didn't seem to reach critical mass.  Hopefully this attempt will.

Over the years I've collected mostly fender tag images of some Daytonas.  I know that it is possible to have a fender tag reproduced, so I can't guarantee the accuracy of these images.  And maybe somebody already has these, so if they are duplicates I apologize.

Also, I had previously worked on a little program to search a fender tag database and return percentages.  Such as A11 = 100%, and was working on adding more options, such that you could find out how many A01 cars had a black interior C6X.  I abandoned it a few years ago, but I'll try to find it again and get it working.  I was at the point where I thought it worked but needed to input fender tag information, even just test information, but I got distracted and didn't follow-up with it.

Here is one fender tag, hopefully this will help.  I'm not sure if I can type the information into the registry, but I'll let Homerr do at least the first one since he is in charge of it.  I'll try to post some more if this is helpful.

ksquared

OK,here is another one, XX29L9B410769.  What is strange is that the Registry has the other pictures I've saved, but doesn't have the Fender Tag, which I'm thinking I must have gotten at the same time.  So I don't know if there is something about the fender tag that is questionable, and definitely not saying I think there is anything questionable because I wouldn't know, but here is what I have:

This is for XX29L9B386546, however it is only the eBay ad from 2011.  It lists the fender tag, but it didn't give a photo.

This one was interesting, I'm wondering if anybody knows the rest of the story.

I believe that Daytona XX29L9400581 was sold at the MECUM INDY auction in 2009.
There is a picture of it next to my Daytona on page 37 of my B5 Daytona story reply dated FEB 14th 2011!
If there are archive MECUM results photos there may be more out there?
