I'm working on a 73 400 magnum.
I have not yet pulled the timing cover off. but I'm wondering. if my eng. has a one bolt cam can I install a three bolt with the correct timing chain set and vise versa?

You will need to change the cam itself as well if you switch to a 3 bolt timing chain set.

well what I mean is, can I put a three bolt cam and timing set in a block that cam with a one bolts and vise versa?

timmycharger

I have on my 440, originally I went for a stock type cam with the 3 bolts then put in a purple shaft.

Yes
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
