Any idea what size wheels and tires these are?

I've seen a few photos of this car online and it appears to be running the same size wheels are tires front/rear.

They kind of look like 10" wheels to me but would those even fit up front? Anyone know what these are? Thanks!

My guess on the wheels: 15x8,5 front and rear.

:iagree:

15x8 or 8.5.  Just deep dish by negative offset/less backspacing.   The rear do not appear wide enough to be 10's and the tire has a bulge to it, that wouldn't be there with a narrow tire on a 10" rim.

Those only have 2.5 backspacing.  If you're planning on them I would look for something with 4.5 backspace, according to a lot of info on this site.  You might end up with a tire that hits the edge of the fender.   :shruggy:

This thread probably has more than you want to know....

Green 69rt, I will check out the link thanks.

Yes the ones I linked only have 2.5in backspace but don't you think that's what is pictured on the car I posted?

I don't think they would have that much lip on an 8in wheel with 4-4.5in backspace

It's hard to tell from a picture.  Also if the car is a trailer queen the backspace doesn't matter as much.   A daily driver needs more clearance.  If there is a way to test the clearance before you drive then that's the best case.  Otherwise, you have to go on what others advise and their experience.    It's a hard call, what are your desires??

I would like to hear what answer you get from the owner.

15x8 with 3.75" BS and 275/60 are my guess

editing... but I think 255/60 in front, diameter ( and bubble ) seems to be A BIT smaller.

Ok I got a response and I am very surprised. Much smaller than I thought-

"The wheels are 14 x 8 in back and 14 x 7 in front, full reverse offset. The tires are P245/60R14's in back and P225/60R14's in front."

Ok I was kinda not that bad on proportions between front and back LOL

I don'st know what "full reverse offset" means.  :shruggy:

Small wheels and tires may make it possible to work, without the big backspacing.  Can't have much in the way of brakes, maybe just drums all around... :shruggy:

I've seen this car on the net for a few years now and it is smoking! I also am not well versed in backspacing or full reverse. Would I be able to put the 15'x8" on the rear and the 15"x7" on the front of my '69 without any other modifications?

I plan on 15"x8" all around with 4.5" BS.  Probably run a 235/60R15 all around, maybe a 245 if I get brave.  Just got my wheels and tried just one on the front (no tire)  Everything clears so far.

Thanks Green, I think I'm going to do the same thing. It should look smoking!
