Everything okay down there in Venezuela ??
Sounds like Hell according to the Fake news here. lol

Nacho-RT74

not fake knews. 1000 thousand ppl in jail being tortured ( 90 of them teenagers ) and 43 has being killed by the dicatorship forces ( official and unnoficial ) in last 5 days. Numbers taken by local humans rights NGOs, because we are on an informative blackout right now.

I can post some videos of couple killed by the Police especial action forces just right when happened, but dunno if is good to post those crude videos on board

Is she correct Nacho? If so good luck. Many tough years ahead just to steer her back on track. Stuff like that can't happen over night. I hope the good can prevail.

Once more good luck and take care.

so far so good I'm fine... yet, but have to handle around with care. There is a weird enviroment around. Somehow peacefull around where I live but not in other areas of the city, althought they have being calming down due the police repression.

Yes she is, and she is telling the shortest story as posible. There is WAY more behind this. You can't imagine it! we are in a hidden political/civil war.

I hope you can defend yourself okay. It won't be long until the U.S. Marines show up.
Stay safe and watch your 6.

Nacho-RT74

My dad used to have a 9 mm at home but my mom didn't want a weapon around so sold it.

I don't think will get some kind of invasions by Marines or Seals... back in the 80s USA kicked out Noriega from Panama because the channel was still an USA territory by those days, but this is a diff story.

It would not be a invasion, but a rescue, with food, water, Police, MONEY and medical aid.  I remember the Panama problem, Falkland Islands, and Grenada.

Nacho-RT74

Well I think there is an humanitary mision plan in progress

I'd call Islas Malvinas to the  "Falkand islands"... but that's a long time discussion, same about 2/3 of Guyana's Territory who really belongs to Venezuela ( begining the invasion by the Britts while Venezuela was on the independence war )

Yes thats why I posted the link. My english vocabulary is not that good to explain the situation. She lives in the U.S. and is a Venezuelan comedian who post his own comedian sketches in english. As mentioned she speed up the story from 2017 or so, but this a problem who really began quite longer, not with Maduro, but with Chavez ( of course ), just that with Chavez the oil prices were high and the production was enough and represion was way softer. Now PDVSA ( state oil industry ) is broke out, with damaged refineries, production falled down from 3 millions barrels to barelly 1 million and oil prices of course don't help. Now Maduro is trapped on his own trap and that what is making to get more repression to eliminate any protest and oponents.

Many of us wanted this happened because with a broke out state those who still supported Chavez/Maduro ( which where just a few but that gave support to election frauds since ever except the first one who made Chavez to be president and it was a real one ) would see the reality of this extremelly corrupted system. Harder times will come, but it must happen.

Hmm....well we have had Sovereignty over those islands since 1690 when an English Captain John Strong made the first ever recorded landing on the islands....the Argentinians only claimed them to be theirs in about 1820 and that was only because of their close links with the Spanish (who had illegally kicked us off the island in 1770)!...They now claim they must be theirs because they are physically close to main land Argentina (a mere 1500km away....so that's like the UK claiming Iceland is part of us because its only 1400km away!!! LOL)....so that's that discussion over!

.......anyway...glad to here you are safe....Long may it stay that way.

Nacho-RT74

Well this could be a good history discussion about Britts Corsairs over the Spanish Colonies to steal whichever was posible from Spanish Empire LOL. Spain arrived before 1690 to those islands, 1540 to be exact, for example, and they were called initially Islas de los Patos and is registered on maps like that... but, well thats how it was the life on those days. Then Argentina claims ( as well all Spanish speaking countries ) the independent territories are the old colonial territories based on the Uti posidetis juris legal basement, plus any extra agreement but legal about territory modifications after the indepencence.

but... I'm fine by now LOL.

There are at this moments protests again. I can heard all screams and car horns around. So far so good not represion at this moment... yet

Dam....that must be a bit frightening!

Back in the history!...because it's fun and might take you mind off the goings on there..and because I'm am argumentative patriot....! I never said we discovered the island but we were the first to land on it.(The Spanish didn't land.)..in modern times at least. To be really accurate the Patagonians have been proven to have landed there in prehistoric times...but that does not count!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

Nacho-RT74

actually Cap Alonso de Camargo landed and stablished there on that year

aand, of course about prehistoric and precolumbians count, but if so, we will get back to dinosauries LOL. USA invaded Mexico, Roma invaded everything in Europe and go on.

El Esequibo is Venezuelan... aaaaand Gibraltar is of course Spanish LOL.

Britts has invaded anything as posible when some country got a weakness for some reason... internal wars or anything similar

I don't want to argue about that. Fortunatelly I have met Britts ( not a lot, just some ) agreed with me but I think you hardly will find some Spaniard or Latinamerican agreed with you LOL.

( Must say I have an Union Jack flag painted on my wall... but just because Brittish rock is the best LOL )
