Does anyone have a recommendation for a new timing light? I used an MSD one previously on my car since I have MSD ignition but It is too much of a pain to keep borrowing it.  Those are a bit pricey, is there an alternative option that works with my ignition system and is of decent quality?

That's the one I got... but on $70-80 rate, used but perfect conditions under EQUUS brand. Maybe 5 years ago?

Initially I had the 3568 new, but got my trunk opened at a parking lot and several stuff stolen, timming light included. I find the 5568 used on same price rate than the 3568 and went for it

I've used that equus as well over the years on various cars, works great every time. I thought i broke it one day when its stopped flashing, then i found out one of the buttons turns off the light... so it lives another day.

Curious, were you using a MSD ignition system? I am seeing different things on line about the EQUUS 5568 working with MSD.

not me. I'm on stock ignition setup

But setting Multispark for the search on the filters, the 5568 floats on

Hi Folks,                 27 July 2021

Don't have any recommendations as we haven't done much with cars these past few years. That's about to change. We have a Snap-On MT 1261 we purchased around 1987. Been years since it has been used. It's now packed up and waiting the move to Phoenix.

Is this a good TL? We have 4 cars and a truck, two of which, 68 Hemi RR and 69 440-6 SB, have conventional ignitions, the 87 Stang has an electronic, the 2000 CV has OEM electronic coil over, the 09 Ram 5.7 has OEM.

Our light works for the first three and is probably useless for the last two. We're mainly concerned with the first three. Is our S-O light good or do we need something newer and better?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best Always
