Hey guys its finally time to post more pics.I know,I am a slowpoke.I am making some progress on the body stuff, getting ready to put in the carpet and seats and other stuff.I am also making some headway on the engine.Probably the only deviation from stock is going to be a factory aluminum intake manifold.I am waiting on it.The few pictures that I am going to post is of the unpainted engine.I have a friend the has a stand  to run the engine in,to check for leaks and such. After that comes the paint and installation.

I was finally able to get hooked up with the guy who is going to test run my engine. It looks pretty crappy now.I want to break the cam in and make sure that there are NO leaks before I get it back and make it sexy.

the beauty of working on a project at home is being able to walk away and try again later when  calmner head and relaxed hands somehow get things together.

I have gotten some news on my engine that was run-in onthe test stand. He called and said that I had a water leak between the head and the block.I was puzzled to say the least.Am I stupid enough to put the head gasket on backwards? Are the heads or block warped?Come to find out that the piece of junk torque wrench that I have did not torque the heads to spec.Needless to say it is now in the scrap pile. The Talladega progress(or lack thereof) trudges on.JW

I got my engine squared away with the cylinder head issue.I was able to paint it last night.I could not resist putting the chrome valve covers on it this morning for a photo.JW

I was able to get the exhaust on it on fri.I have a guy coming on monday to adjust and align the side windows.I was under it checking fittings and bolt and my NEW radiator is leaking.I am sooo close to throwing in the towel with this car.It is frustrating.I need to align the front end and I would like to drive it a few miles before loading it up.JW
