General rule is 100 years. That's according to most copier businesses. That is unlees you have written consent from the original photographer or photography studio.

o.k.  Doug I believe that copywrite requires a signature of the producer of the product and 'copywrite' on the item in question - at least that's what I was told when I created products for my company ' Buyers Corner Realty, Inc.'   Of course one may be mistaken -

Doug do you know if this couple is still a member of the club.

I don't think they are members.   Stating "copyright" on an item certainly makes it clear and easy to defend.  If you publish a photo with the tag "Photo by Sherry", that's also a definite copyright.  But I don't think you actually need to do that to defend it if pirated either.   It's commonly thought that photos on the internet (example: old racing photos) are assumed to be in the public domain.   That is not necessarily the case.   Again, whether something is done to enforce it is another matter.    There is an unscrupulous seller on Ebay who offers hundreds of 4 x 6 racing photos he's skimmed off the net.   He owns the rights to none of them.

Maybe another call to Chick Schiesser is in order.  I do recall the photographers gave me a couple rolls of film to take pictures at Pocono, 'cause they were returning home.  I mailed the exposed film to them and a couple of shots appear in the album.  So you have my permission to post them.  And you can even post the picture of me judging Daytona's.  It is my best side.

Now there is a name I have not heard in a long time.   Chick seemed like a pretty nice guy.    Both Chick and Steve Staffieri carried the Ford torch back then.

Steve sold most (if not all) of his cars to Mike Atkins.

SOUNDS like the general consensus is that it's ok to post the pics.  I was told something like they were club members that put the album together and they were only trying to cover their expenses.

Who was that who wanted their picture posted while judging the Daytonas?  I seem to remember a pic of someone doing just that and Lou Whitfield judging the Birds.

I will post the rest of the pictures since the album doesn't state or the pic's don't state anything about being copyrighted.

Uh, this is from somewhere in the Virginia Maryland area around the first part of the 80's on a car lot where lots of aero cars happened to be!!!!

hctub

Same car lot with same aero cars.................

learical1

Lot pictures were at a Baltimore area Chrysler/Plymouth dealer.  If memory serves, the dealer owner died a day or two before the meet, but they let us have the meet there anyway.  The grass pictures with water in the background were at a local Baltimore park.

I believe Peter just sold that beige (now black) Daytona to another Canuck.

Wow, love that White Daytona!!!!

That car lot looks like heaven. I enjoy the hell out of looking at Super Bird and Daytona pics. Maybe I will have one someday...... :yesnod:

I beleive that Peter Guelph, owner of the white Daytona, lived in Ontario, Canada back in 1980.  I remember finding out just how heavy those beasts are when he broke down about a mile from the Hotel. He called for help and about 5 or 6 of us pushed it back to the hotel.  The worse part was the  :flame: hill up to the hotel.  :eek2:  Rick

Peter's Car. 414630 is alive and well.  It is not the burnt car pictured.  I'd be interested to know what the VIN of this car is.  I know of one that was supposedly stolen from here in Ontario around 1981-1982.  But that cars VIN is not on any of the shipment lists.

couple more pics, still waiting on the re-sized group photo unless someone can direct me to a site where I can do it.

FLG

You can resize em on your own pc. Open it up in MS Paint, go to image then stretch and skew. Were it says "stretch" type in like 75 for horizontal and 75 for vertical and it will make the picture 25% smaller. Then use "Save as" so you dont delete the original.

Awesome pics btw

hctub

Thanks, I will try that.

Few more pics

I took the two shots at Pocono.  Several cars showed up only at the race, didn't make the meet.  I probably shot 2 rolls of film, but only the group shots made the photo album.

Which burnt car are you talking about - The US or the Canadian one? The white one pictured has a file name of "Peter_Niemanis" which I believe is originally Beige?
