That one is on the mend - the top half got the worst - the bottom half was still quite ok. I saw it this weekend. The body man is a methodical, patient metal master. He had the car dipped, put it on his frame machine and started pulling, pushing, hammering, shrinking and tweaking it back into a car again. NOS quarters and fenders were found and I supplied a real wing for it. No re-body here - just a lot of hard work to save it. Another one lives on thankfully.

That's Chick Schiesser, 1980 meet host, and the redhead is his wife, Sharon.  I'm the fool in the 2nd row, leaning forward so you can see the people behind me, with the stupid smile on my face.

Okay - Thanks for clearing that up because as UFO pointed out, it looks like a guy "Schiezing up a Chick"   :icon_smile_big:

Right, Rick is in the back row just right of the 'beard'..   Lou Whitfield is between Rick and Wayne Perkins.  Of course the good looking gal in the front with white strap shoes is the younger version :yesnod: :icon_smile_big:  ME :drool5:

I just like the tube socks on the kid in the front row, I still have about 15 pairs of those here at the house. And I love the name tags that everyone is wearing.

hctub

Few more.

Nice car Kenny had in the black and gold.  We have a collection of 'custom' painted Superbirds and Dayton's from the 78 Wing Warriors meet in California.  Talk about some out of this world paint jobs :2thumbs:  Now if I can just locate them and get them on the site - I will ..    Later   madam secretary :shruggy:

These are great pics hctub, I wonder where the INDIANA contingent is??? Back then I thought there were more wing cars in the INDY area than any where else on the planet.............Dwayne L. Had several and Dave J. had some the Alan & Debbi C. I know several in Anderson IN and New Castle etc etc.....

Steve I know that in 1980 my dad only had the Q5 500, and possibly one of the R4 Daytona's. And Dave Jones at that time had a Green HEMI 500, and a HEMI Cuda I believe. My dad started really picking up the Daytona's and Birds around 1982. He bought a bird in 1981 and then the HEMI 500 in 82 along with the B5 Daytona, R6 Daytona, well and a few other cars. Dave Jones picked up the first of his HEMI daytona's in 1982 as well I believe. The V2 orange car. In 1980 I think that Larry Bell had a few wing cars up in New Castle area as well, and there was another gentleman Art Schwatz (i think I spelled that right) in greenfield that had a handful of Birds back in the early 80's. Which is why I thought that everyone had a yard full of the winged cars back then. Seemed to be at least 5 families within a 20 mile radius with more than 3-4 wing cars a piece.
