I saw an ad locally (now, don't you guys go looking for it! ) regarding two '73's being parted out. A bulge hood is apparent in one of the photos. What is it worth if in o.k. shape? Thanks.  :2thumbs:   Here is the body of the ad and some photos.

"Parting out two 1973 Dodge Chargers with bumpers, fenders, doors, quarter panels, taillights, 1971 charger taillights, 318 and 400 engines, headers, 8 3/4 rearend, glass, chrome trim, painted race mirrors, 1972 hide-away headlight assembly with bumper, bucket seats, floor shift console/shifter/columns, wheels, disc brake and much, much more. Just a heads up,

They were (or at least the red one was, think black one too) pettyfans car..AKA Chris...who past away no too long ago.

I assume they are in cali now? I know they were sold to a member on here..dont remember his forum name but amazingly his name is Richard Petty.

I actually have the window motors and parts from one of those cars sitting in my garage. The forum guy who bought them (Richard) sold me some stuff, really nice guy to deal with. He than got into some issues (money? not sure) and had to sell em. Never knew what came of em but now i do LOL!

I have ALOT of pictures of these cars. Inside and out.

Do you want me to send em to you? Whats your email addy?

Dans 68

Interesting! Thank you for the heads up. Yes, please send the photos to danhelms@pacbell.net.

If you get them great! If you dont i will have to foward them to you when i get out of work a little later.

richard petty lives in north carolina, i built a trans for him.  the cars he purchased were from someone else than Chris I believe.  I just dont see two 73 SE's travelling across the country to california.

RD Neither did I.

Heres the pic of pettyfans car, which he sold to Richard

Besides the wheels...its the same car.

I also have pics of the black car, here is one for an example. Same rust, same vinyl roof line, different hood (i remember petty fan selling the other luvered hood that was on the black one), but also originally red, white seats, black interior.

I might be wrong, but its really hard to say...cars look identical.

FLG

Also check out the rust on the pass q-panel...looks like the same can be seen in the pics dan posted.

Also the sticker on bottom left corner, same in both pics.

Here are some more photos...time to get out the magnifying glasses.... :popcrn:  The front seats are different, but the crease above the drivers door handle looks similar.... :scratchchin:

Also around mirror red paint is the same. ALso makes sense theres no windsheild cause it was busted last i seen it.

Well, I think I would like the hood, front air spoiler and rear wing at least from the red car. Are those items '73 issue? What would be a drop dead price on those? They would look smashing on my '73.

Yep Pettyfans old car, still has the Alabama tag on it (first two numbers 47, indicates Madison County, which is the Huntsville area).

Yep, I am more than sure those are his. I was lined up to buy the headlights but never heard back from him. He passed away?
