I know we are all passionate about our Chryslers and Chargers in particular, but what if there was no Walter P?
What do you imagine you may have otherwise been drawn to?
I had a few Aussie Fords and Holdens in my youth but I was also keen on American cars.
Dunno what I would have ended up with if Ma Mopar wasn't an option as I was never keen on British or European makes.

Is there something else from your childhood you really loved and maybe never got?
Gotta love a '69

I was a Camaro guy before I bought my Charger. I still like the 70-81 Camaro and Firebird cars.

In my youth I have had early first gen Firebird and early second gen Firebird and still keep an eye out if something were to pop up in my area and in my price range  ( cheap :)  )

I had a 72 Nova for 10 years and I like them. Would like a 68-72 Chevelle or El Camino as well.

A 71-78 trans am (especially a 71-72 455HO or 73-74 455SD.

68-72 Buick Gran Sport or Olds 442.

I don't mind the El Camino either, but we had some tasty utes and panel vans that were derived from their sedan counterparts.
In fact this model Holden could be had as a sedan, Monaro coupe, station wagon, panel van or ute.
Ford did the same thing, offering the same styles in the Falcon series.

If talking about pony/muscle car... maybe 1st gen Mustang (64/66 fastback)

Talking about something more classic... 55/57 BelAir. (More toward to 57).

And... W111 280SE 3.5 Mercedes convertible.

Talking about a personal sportie car... 57 corvette...  Mercedes Pagoda...

Actually I like all those still with Chrysler presence.

I was weaned on the early Oldsmobiles (1949-1957). A few years ago I longed for those days and purchased a near clone of one I built and drove in the early sixties. The original was Candy-Apple Red and had a 462 stroker Olds with a Stick-Hydro. This one has a LS6 454 Chevy power (ugh) and a 700R4.

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
